  • Hardin County Playhouse offers audiences an award-winning drama at 7 p.m. today at Plum Alley Theater in the Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown.

    Performances of “Death and the Maiden” are at 7 p.m. today, Saturday and April 10-12 and 3 p.m. Sunday and April 13.

  • After a winter hiatus, the Fort Knox Potted Few Garden Club met in March to welcome spring.

    Renate Gosser and Linda Novak were hostesses. Gosser and Joyce Kelly presented a “Spring is Sprung” program on how to prepare an inside planter in a container.

    The next meeting is at 10 a.m. April 16 at the Glendale home of Bonnie Lush with Marilyn Ardisson as cohost. The program is “Fine Gardening” with Bob and Mary Ann Hines.

    The Radcliff Woman’s Club members celebrated others at the March 10 meeting. The group celebrated SpringHaven Domestic Violence Center by donating boxes of diapers for residents. They celebrated the arts department of North Hardin High School by welcoming a guest speaker from there and celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by enjoying Irish-themed goodies.

  • Hardin County Am Rotary Club President Daniel Tabb welcomes Jon Ballard, superintendent of Elizabethtown Independent Schools, to the March 28 meeting. Ballard spoke about the school’s Tradition of Excellence and the history of the school system in Hardin County since the late 1700s.
