  • Comedian Heywood Banks, who has appeared on HBO, Showtime and Comedy Central, performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Historic State Theater.

    He’s known as “the toast guy” because of a song popularized during his frequent guest appearances on the “Bob and Tom” radio show over the last 25 years.

  • SAVAGE. Army Pvt. Spencer M. Savage has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina. A 2014 graduate of John Hardin High School, he is the son of Thomas Savage of Elizabethtown and Melinda Lawyer of Hermitage, Tennessee, and stepson of Monika K. Savage of Elizabethtown.
