    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ronald and Lisa Daugherty of Elizabethtown. A graduate of Central Hardin High School, she is an administrative assistant with the American Red Cross.

    The prospective groom is the son of John and Diane Miniard of Elizabethtown. A graduate of John Hardin High School, he is a contractor at Fort Knox.

  • Jennifer Lynn Duvall and Aaron Lee Triplett of Georgetown announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

    The bride to be is the daughter of Douglas Duvall of Clarkson and the late Linda Duvall. A 2003 graduate of Grayson County High School, she is employed by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky.

    The prospective groom is the son of Dennis Wayne Triplett and Donna Evans DeSpain, both of Brandenburg. A 2000 graduate of Meade County High School, he is employed by Qualex Manufacturing LLC.

  • Earl and Margaret Clark will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 15, 2013, at First Christian Church in Elizabethtown.

    They were married Sept. 14, 1963, in Elizabethtown by Brother Roy Barnett.

    They are lifelong and faithful members of First Christian Church.

    They have three children, Karen Chenault, Sheila Robey and Scott Clark, all of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

    All friends and relatives are invited to attend the celebration. Please, no gifts.

    Well, it is finally here. Today is the day that White Mills Baptist Church celebrates its 175th anniversary. If you are reading this early enough, please come to church at 11 a.m. for all of the festivities. Ron Lewis will bring the message. There will be singing and praises and afterwards we will have some delicious food cooked by some of the best cooks in Hardin County. Please come and join us as we praise God for a church that has stood for Him for so many years.
