  • John and Julia DuPlessis of Elizabethtown, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth DuPlessis of Elizabethtown, to Jason Waters of Elizabethtown, son of Don and Joy Waters of Cecilia.

    The bride-to-be graduated from the University of Kentucky Dental School and completed her orthodontic residency at St. Louis University. She is an orthodontist at DuPlessis Orthodontics.

  • On March 14, the Hardin County AM Rotary Club had two students speak to the club as participants in the Rotary Speech Contest. This contest is statewide and the winners from the county advance to the regional competition. Amelia Tarrence was the first-place finisher at the meet and Elizabeth Neary was the second-place finisher. Both ladies are 11th-grade students with Faith Home School.
