  • Courtney Taylor and Josh Sanders, both of Elizabethtown, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rod and Tammy Taylor. A 2012 graduate of Morehead State University with a bachelor’s degree in imaging science and an associate degree in applied science, she is employed at University of Louisville Hospital.

    The prospective groom is the son of Tamara and DuWayne Drexler and Tim and Rhonda Sanders. A 2008 graduate of Southeast Lineman Training Center, he is employed at Nolin RECC.

  • Ralph and Ruth Meredith of Glendale will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 20, 2012, by attending Mass at St. Ambrose Church in Cecilia and a family dinner.

    They were married Oct. 20, 1962, in Leitchfield by the Rev. George Hancock.

    Mrs. Meredith is a homemaker and Mr. Meredith is a farmer. They enjoy being together on their farm and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

  • Bob Owsley will celebrate his 80th birthday from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 21, 2012, at Pritchard Community Center in Elizabethtown.
