    KENTUCKY WEATHER. More snow is what we got. Some say we got about three inches. The snow came rather quickly when it finally did come. I don’t mind the snow, but I don’t like those frigid cold temperatures. My dogs, Roxy and Reese, don’t like it when I take them outside either.

  • A trio of comedians, headlined by Tom Mabe, will tickle some funny bones when they take the stage for “Clean Southern Comedy Tour” at 8 p.m. today and Saturday at the Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown.

    This weekend’s visit is the second appearance at the Historic State Theater for Mabe. The comedian first appeared at the theater in January 2012.

  • TROMBONE. Air Force Airman Daniel J. Trombone graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

    Trombone is the son of Karen Harris of Vine Grove and Mike Trombone of Radcliff.

    He is a 2011 graduate of North Hardin High School.

    Following up a collection of poetry she published last August, Radcliff author Sandra M. Sutherland has published her second book.

    “Memories That Touch The Heart,” another collection of poetry by the 63-year-old disabled veteran, was published Jan. 10.

    The author’s first book of poetry was “A Journey Through My Mind.”

    Sutherland served in the U.S. Army for 17 years and graduated in 1994 from what was then known as Elizabethtown Community College.
