    KENTUCKYWEATHER. A beautiful day full of sunshine on March 11. We took Chloe to Freeman Lake Park. We put her on the swings but she was a little scared. We also showed her the ducks. It’s amazing to watch all of her expressions.

  • Julia Kennerson of Radcliff announces the birth of a daughter, Eliza Jozalee Kennerson on Feb. 6, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 19 inches long.

    Siblings are Walter and Lillian.

    Maternal grandfather  is Joseph Kennerson of Radcliff.

    Great-grandparents are Edna Weber, Perry James Kennerson and Betty Kennerson.

  • Dr. Edward “Kenny” Hand of Vine Grove will celebrate his 90th birthday with a reception in his honor from 2 to 3:30 p.m. today, March 16, 2014, in the fellowship hall of Vine Grove United Methodist Church in Vine Grove.

    He was born March 12, 1924, and was married to the late Dorothy Hand.

    He is a member of Vine Grove United Methodist Church and was a family doctor in Vine Grove for 45 years.

    He has two children, Lynda Hudson of Dixon and Michael Hand of Radcliff; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

  • Richard and Lois Maybrier Niswander of Upton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. March 23, 2014, at Lucas Grove Baptist Church, 3895 Millerstown Road in Upton.

    They were married March 21, 1964, at Ashby Lane Alliance Church in Louisville by the Rev. Donald Jacobson.

    The couple are both members of Lucas Grove Baptist Church.

    They have three children, Melody Love, Tonya Desjardins and Ryan Niswander; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

    All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
