  • Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours will perform in concert Saturday as part of Acoustic Guitar Masters Concert Series 13 at Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center.

    The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

    McClain is a singer and songwriter who infuses his material with humor and stages his shows from a fictional trailer park called Pine View Heights. He modeled the location after his childhood surroundings and experiences.

  • Jessica Chism, 32, always has been involved in artistic and creative endeavors, but didn’t put brush to canvas until about five years ago.
    Now, inspired by nature and movies, she uses painting to relieve stress and express herself, which is hard for the self-professed introvert.

    She has sketched since she was a little girl but learned she could paint after helping with a SpongeBob SquarePants mural in her son’s room. After discovering painting, within six months she completed about 30 portraits, she said.
