    Joshua P. Lynch (1980). Theft by unlawful taking. One hundred-eighty days in jail probated for 30 days balance probated for two years on conditions in the order. Court costs waived.

    Arthur Jamison Ancell (1979). Falsely reporting an incident. Serve 30 days in jail concurrent with prior case. Court costs waived.

  • Radcliff Rotary Club President Dr. Gail Phoenix, left, presents a certificate of recognition and a gift card to Fort Knox High School senior Haven Noble, the club’s student of the month. Haven is a military brat, having lived at both Army and Naval bases around the country.  She excels at sports and is an honor student. While she is undecided about college, she is a poised public speaker with personality.

  • The Fort Knox Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America held its monthly meeting Jan. 16 at the MOAA Clubhouse on Fort Knox.

  • The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10281 and the Ladies Auxiliary received a request to support two events for the spring semester of the North Hardin High School freshman class.

    The first event, is the formal/semiformal dinner and dance and the second is the annual Mother’s Day dinner.

    One of the goals of both the VFW and its Ladies Auxiliary is to support youth in their community and educational efforts.

  • MILLER. Navy Seaman Lathan L. Miller, son of Vonda K. Mayfield of Elizabethtown, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2009 graduate of Central Hardin High School.

  • KAMPHAUS. Marine Corps Pfc. Stephen G. Kamphaus, a 2012 graduate of North Hardin High School, graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, S. C.


    Spring in Kentucky brings the promise of March Madness, junior ACT assessments and Elizabethtown High School’s Power Pact.

    Power Pact, an educational partnership, was formed in 2001 between Elizabethtown High School and Kentucky Utilities as an initiative of the Gear Up (Gaining Early Awareness and College Readiness) grant administered through Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.
