  • Allison and Ronnie Miller of Vine Grove announce the birth of a daughter, Alexis Ann Miller, on June 3, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She weighed 6.5 pounds and was 18 inches long.

    She has two sisters, Rosetta Miller and Annabelle Miller, both of Vine Grove.

    Maternal grandparents are Mary Clark and Michael Hancock, both of Vine Grove; and paternal grandparents are Retta and Ronald Miller Sr. of Vine Grove.


  • In the fall of 1970, I was a beginning home economics teacher at West Hardin High School. It wasn’t until the fall of 1971 that I seriously started thinking about marriage. This shy young man from Lebanon Junction didn’t have an earthly idea I had my eye on him.

    His college friend and fellow math teacher wanted to start a wrestling program and convinced this gentleman to assist him in what, at the time, was a non-paying job. He also convinced me to take on the non-paying job of sponsoring the girls who would support the wrestling team.

She is a cosmetologist and manager of Smart Style Hair Salon in Columbia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Mahanna of Radcliff and the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Glackin.
