    The prospective groom, a 2010 graduate of WKU, is a Hardin County extension agent for agriculture and natural resources and a self-employed farmer.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mike and Wanda Horn of Cecilia.

    The prospective groom is the son of Jack and Shirley Dague of Elizabethtown.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Johnson Sr. of Shepherdsville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary July 22, 2013.

    They were married July 22, 1953, in Jeffersonville, Ind.

    Mr. Johnson is a veteran and was employed at Reynolds Metal Company for 16 years. He was a home builder for 40 years, to include the building of the Scenic Trail Apartments, which he and Mrs. Johnson continue to maintain. He also enjoyed coaching little league.

    The weather has been less than desirable. I think we have had enough rain now. The gardens are growing but now they are mud. The fair is this week, hopefully the rain will let up so the fairgrounds won’t be a mess.
