    The bride-to-be is the daughter of the late Jackie Ray Jones Sr. and Shirley Jones of Howardstown and Sharon Copeland and Bill Copeland, both of Brashear, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Katheryn Jones of Hodgenville and the late Raymond Jones, Eugene Gribbons and Maedell Gribbons. She is a graduate of LaRue County High School and is employed at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

  • John and Diane Clark of Madisonville and Maynard and Brenda Brown of Elizabethtown announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Anna Clark and Cody Brown, both of Dayton, Ohio.

    The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Madisonville North Hopkins High School and a 2008 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in sales and management. She is a sales performance consultant at Standard Register in Dayton.

  • Perry Lynn and Sylvia Board of Radcliff will celebrate their 31st wedding anniversary with a family celebration, today, June 19, 2011.

    They were married June 20, 1980, at Radcliff Methodist Church by the Rev. Gentry.

    Mr. Board is employed at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

    Mrs. Board is employed in commercial and residential cleaning.

    They have one daughter, Shannon Annette Kisselbaugh of Louisville.

  • Hank and Dana Burba of Elizabethtown announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Virginia “Ginny” Burba, to Andrew “Drew” Hartmann, son of Andy Hartmann of Sonora and the late Ana Virginia Hartmann.

  • Tommy and Suzanne Ryan of Elizabethtown announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Crystal Ryan of Elizabethtown, to Greg Goodman of Elizabethtown.

    The bride-to-be is a 2010 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. She is working on her Master of Arts in elementary education from the University of The Cumberlands. She is a fourth grade teacher at Radcliff Elementary School.

  • Tee and Cindy Hodges of Sonora announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Megan Michele Hodges, to Gregory Kyle Walters, son of Tod and Theresa Walters of Glendale.

    The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Central Hardin High School. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in 2009 and a master’s degree in recreation and sports administration in 2011. She is employed in the Athletic Department of Western Kentucky University.

  • DORSETT. Air National Guard Airman Marquist A. Dorsett graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

    He is the son of Michael and Kathy Dorsett of Elizabethtown.

    Dorsett graduated in 2007 from John Hardin High School in Radcliff.

  • 4-H Livestock Club members Trent Thomas, Briann Williams, Orry Williams, Trent Barnes, Austin Barnes, Laetitia Langley and Leslie Langley recently traveled to Adair County for the second step in their Country Ham Projects.

  • The Crown Jewels met recently for a bling party. They are a group of ladies who were just looking for fun. They have slumber parties, dinner and movies, visit the Bourbon trail, have Italian night, hold Derby parties, visit the Hardin County History Museum and go on the Downtown Historical Walking Tour. Vera Davenport was named Queen for the Day and everyone else had to do anything she asked of them. They take turns as Queen.

  • On June 6 members of the Elizabethtown Tourism and Convention Bureau and the Radcliff/Fort Knox Convention and Tourism Commission and guests enjoyed a guided tour of the General George Patton Museum on Fort Knox. The museum is the most visited tourist attraction in Hardin County.
