Forty years after she first began a career under the Golden Arches in Radcliff, Sheila Campbell Mott still is lovin’ it.
Mott was 19 on Sept. 8, 1975, when she began work at the McDonald’s restaurant at 110 S. Dixie Blvd., which is a McDonald’s Restaurants of Kentuckiana location, owned and operated by Jeff Peter. She started on the night crew.
Strangely enough, Nan Campbell’s role as a children’s librarian complements her degree in horticulture and has provided her an opportunity to give back to an organization that gave to her years earlier.
During her life, Mary Lois Smith spent some 30 years as an educator, was one of the first three women officers with the Elizabethtown Police Department, saw the integration of schools, survived cancer and made a lot of friends.
“I like meeting people,” the 87-year-old Elizabethtown woman said.
