Recently, I was at a conference in San Diego where I was fortunate to hear Howard Schultz, the CEO of Starbucks. With all the political mumbo jumbo that is taking place it was refreshing to hear a fellow American and business person’s thoughts about our country, our responsibility and our future.
Forty years after she first began a career under the Golden Arches in Radcliff, Sheila Campbell Mott still is lovin’ it.
Mott was 19 on Sept. 8, 1975, when she began work at the McDonald’s restaurant at 110 S. Dixie Blvd., which is a McDonald’s Restaurants of Kentuckiana location, owned and operated by Jeff Peter. She started on the night crew.
Strangely enough, Nan Campbell’s role as a children’s librarian complements her degree in horticulture and has provided her an opportunity to give back to an organization that gave to her years earlier.
