  • College honors 400th anniversary of KJV Bible

    Campbellsville University has scheduled a series of Thursday evening lectures in celebration of the 400th anniversary of the King James Version of the Bible.
    After years of translating and revising previous versions of the English Bible, a version authorized by King James I of England and King James VI of Scotland was published in 1611. For generations, it served as the standard for Christians in the English-speaking world.

  • Calvary Assembly of God welcomes new youth pastors

    Pastor Jeff Schexneider joins the congregation in welcoming Charles and Summer Crowder as the new youth pastors of Calvary Assembly of God. Charles Crowder is from Henderson and Summer Crowder is from Bernie, Mo. Charles Crowder is pursuing a degree in church leadership and Summer Crowder’s degree will be in evangelism and discipleship. They both graduate from Central Bible College, (Assemblies of God) in December 2011.

  • Severns Valley to offer WinShape camp

    WinShape Camps began with one man’s dream to shape tomorrow’s leaders.

    S. Truett Cathy of Chick-fil-A put his dream into motion by creating a camp experience focused on challenging young people physically and spiritually. Now, more than 20 years and 30,000 campers later, that dream continues to shape young people through summer camps that prove to be mile-marker experiences.

    In observance of the 120th anniversary of the founding of Colesburg Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, the church is hosting a homecoming celebration and tent revival services.

  • Radcliff Presbyterian to hold 'Big Apple Adventure' VBS

    Area residents are welcome to join children and teens from Radcliff Presbyterian Church as they “grab a cab” and head to the Big Apple Adventure. Amid the exciting sights and sounds of the city, children will learn that they can connect faith and life through a relationship with Jesus. During their day, kids will “visit” various sites throughout New York City including Midtown Snacks, Missions Central, Music Backstage, Playground 1017 and the Crafts District.

  • New Horizon Baptist Fellowship to take items to tornado-ravaged areas of Alabama

    New Horizon Baptist Fellowship is planning a mission trip to Alabama on June 10-11 to assist and aid those who have been victims of recent tornadoes that swept through the region. This is a community-wide effort to assist people in and around the Gadsdan, Ala., area. The church is taking an 18-wheeler loaded with supplies.
