  • Cynthia K. Jaggers

    Cynthia K. Jaggers, 39, of Munfordville, died Monday, April 2, 2012 as a result of a motorcycle accident.

    Survivors include her parents, James O’Neal and Shirley Oiler O’Neal; and a son, Cody Jaggers.

    The funeral was Thursday at Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville with burial in Center Point Cemetery in Munfordville.

  • Carole Sue ‘Susie’ Walker

    Carole Sue “Susie” Walker, 75, of Glendale, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

    A native of Louisville, she graduated from Atherton High School and Western Kentucky University with a Masters in Education. She was a member of Glendale Christian Church where she participated in the GCC Ladies Circle, and she was a former member of Crescent Hill Methodist Church. She was also a member of Glendale Homemakers, Hardin County Historical Society, several bridge clubs and was a patron of Actors’ Theater of Louisville. 

  • Anna Lee Davis

    Anna Lee Davis, 91, of Bewleyville, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg.

    Survivors include a daughter, Judith Applegate; and a son, Robert G. Davis.

    The funeral was Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Irvington.

  • Randy Allen Bingle

    Randy Allen Bingle, 55, of, Elizabethtown, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012, at his residence.

    He was a truck driver for Hardin Delivery.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Janet Shaver Bingle; and a daughter, Sarah Ross.

  • Suzette S. McMahon

    Suzette S. McMahon, 72, of Radcliff, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in Florida.

    A native of Cudos, France, she was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of American Legion Post No. 113, Camp Knox Masonic Lodge in Radcliff, the Order of the Eastern Star in Radcliff and the Elks and Moose Lodge in Palmetto, Fla. She retired from Hardin Memorial Hospital in 2006.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. McMahon; and her parents, Jean and Anna LaCampagne Touja.

  • Jessie Sams

    Jessie Sams, 80, of Munfordville, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012, at his residence.

    He was a self-employed carpenter and active in jail ministry.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Ella Brown Sams; a son, Glenn Sams; two brothers, Jake and George Sams; a sister, Luree Sams; and a grandson, Brian Sams.

  • Jeannine L. (Lavoie) Gagnon

    Jeannine L. (Lavoie) Gagnon, 77, of Nashua, N.H., passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at her home following a lengthy illness.

    Jeannine was born in Nashua on April 1, 1934, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Marie Rose (Lavoie) Lavoie.  She was the widow of George A. Gagnon who died March 10, 1993.

  • James Calvin Fulkerson

    James Calvin Fulkerson, 79, of Big Clifty, died March 30, 2012, at his residence.He was a member of New Hope Church of Christ, and retired from Charles Holk Coal Co. as a heavy equipment operator.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Fulkerson; his mother, Grace Pickerill Fulkerson; a son, James Dale Fulkerson; two grandchildren, Brandon Green and Jamie Pence; and three brothers.

  • Chad Everett Thurman

    Chad Everett Thurman, 40, New Haven, passed away Thursday March 29, 2012.

    He is survived by two daughters, Ashley Thurman and Katlyn Thurman; and his fiancee, Angie Smith of New Haven.

    Visitation was Monday, April 2, at Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.

    Carole A. Holt, 74, of Radcliff, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

    Mrs. Holt’s memberships included Radcliff Presbyterian Church where she was an elder, sang in the choir and was a youth director; Kentucky Coalition for School-Age Child Care; Emmaus Group; and CASA (Court Assigned Child Advocates).

  • Dessie R. Evans

    Dessie R. Evans, 90, of Millwood, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, at her residence.

    She was born on Aug. 1, 1921, in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Walter and Barbara Decker Green. She worked as a laundry attendant at Fort Knox and was a member of the Zion Baptist Church.

    She is survived by two sons, Lannie Evans (Debbie) of Elizabethtown, and Walter Evans (Marsha) of Massachusetts; a daughter, Darlene Kirk of Elizabethtown; a sister, Callie Carter of Millwood; three grandsons, Cody, Tommy and Ryan Evans, and four great grandchildren.

  • Everlener W. Canedy

    Everlener W. Canedy, 85, of Radcliff, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

    She is survived by her son, Thomas (T.J.) Canedy Sr.; grandchildren, David Plummer, Dana Canedy, Lynnette Canedy, Thomas J. Canedy Jr., Kimberly Canedy, Nikki Canedy Kosmoski, Vanessa Canedy-Blythe and James Derrick Canedy; brothers Henry Williams and Willie Williams.

    Cremation was chosen.

    Hazel Dailey Atteberry, 101, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

    She was a native of Cynthiana and a member of Bethesda Ministries. She formerly worked at the Fort Knox Laundry, E’town Sewing Factory and was manager of Bunch’s Washateria for many years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, farming and was a caregiver for the elderly.

    Elijah Adrian Morris of Elizabethtown, infant son of LarShawna Morris and Henry Montgomery, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

    Cremation was chosen by the family.

    Gladys V. Claywell, 82, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at her residence.

    She was a native of Adair County, a member of Glasgow First Church of the Nazarene, retired from Mallory’s Manufacturing in Glasgow and a member of TOPS Ky. No. 126.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Robert Claywell Sr.; and her parents, William Jackson and Sallie Roach Sexton.

    David Lewis Logan Jr., 72, of Radcliff, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Ind.

  • Ronald Lee Wheeler

    Ronald Lee Wheeler, 64, of Vine Grove, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

    He was a native of Mount Washington and was a fire instructor at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. He was an EMS instructor, a volunteer firefighter with Central Hardin Fire Department and Kentucky 86 Fire Department. He was an EMS worker in LaRue County and Fort Knox, a corrections officer in LaGrange and a deputy sheriff in Meade County.

  • Richard Earl Bott

    Richard Earl Bott – known affectionately as “Rich, Dick or Dickie,” to his family and friends – passed away Monday, March 26, 2012, at 71 years of age. He was a resident of Arcadia, Fla., at the time of his death. He died of complications of his treatment for lung cancer.

  • Mattie Vern Gibson Banks

    Mattie Vern Gibson Banks passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

    She was one of eight sisters and one brother, born to Hop Gibson and Manerva Adams Gibson of Letcher County. All of these women were servants of God. She and her husband, Jeff, moved to Elizabethtown after World War II, where they made their home until they both passed away. She was a longtime member of Severns Valley Baptist Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and vacation Bible school. She had many close church friends.

  • Florence Marian Rogers

    Florence Marian Rogers, 94, of Vine Grove, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at HardinMemorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

    Mrs. Rogers was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church in Vine Grove.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rogers; her parents, Francis and Norberta Medley and James and Frances Cooper; and a grandson, Zachary Patterson.
