    Robert Alan Beimdick, 66, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

  • Roland E. Misner

    Roland E. Misner, 77, of Radcliff, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

    He retired from the Army with 27 years of food service, serving one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He was known by his friends and co-workers as “Pappy.” He and his loving wife had 47 years of marriage.

    He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

  • Joan Head Bowling

    Joan Head Bowling, 77, of New Haven, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.

    She was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. She was a member of the St. Catherine of Alexandria Altar Society and New Haven Community Bereavement Room. She was retired from Jim Beam Distilleries in Clermont after 35 years of service. She was born Oct. 5, 1933, the daughter of the late Ernest and Annie Boone Head.

  • M. Pauline McAdams

    Mrs. M. Pauline McAdams, 75, of Simpsonville, formerly of Shepherdsville and Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011. 

    She was the daughter of the late James Earl Mason and Verna Etna Skaggs. 

    She was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert T. Mason; and a sister, Evelyn Beatrice Mason Colvin.

    She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville and was a member of the Gideon Auxiliary.

  • Alfred Glenn Turner

    Alfred Glenn Turner, 82, of Brandenburg, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at Medco Center in Brandenburg.

    Survivors include his wife, Anna Faye Turner; and three children, Dianna Padgett, Norman “Duane” Turner and Keith Turner.

    The funeral is at 4 p.m. EST Saturday at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg with burial in Eastlawn Cemetery.

    Visitation continues at 8:30 a.m. EST Saturday at the funeral home.

  • Pauline Kirkland Wiley

    Pauline Kirkland Wiley, 56, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at her home.

    She was an online program coordinator for Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and also a human resource manager for Target. Mrs. Wiley was involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program, Habitat for Humanity and was a member of Crossroads Community Church.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Martha Kirkland Snow; and two brothers, Michael and Leon Snow.

  • Donna Pauline Grimes

    Donna Pauline Grimes, 92, of Cecilia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family.

    She was a longtime member of Cecilia Methodist Church and devoted her life to caring for others. In her long life, she overcame breast cancer twice and open heart surgery. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and wife. She was a picture of love and compassion and was constantly concerned about the well-being of others. She will be greatly missed, but “we are blessed that she is at peace in Heaven.”

  • Dorothy Corine Slayton Franks

    Dorothy Corine Slayton Franks, 83, of Hodgenville, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at her daughter’s residence in Buffalo.

    Survivors include a daughter, Jeanettia DeSpain.

    The funeral was Friday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with burial in Red Hill Cemetery.

    Marilyn Ruth Davis, 69, of Livonia, Mich., died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at St. Mary Mercy in Livonia.

    A graveside service was Friday at Glendale Christian Cemetery with Brother Mike Bell officiating.

    Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements.

  • Nellie L. Kelly Wright

    Nellie L. Kelly Wright, 92, of Sonora, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. 

    She was a member of Sonora United Methodist Church until her health prevented her from attending services. She was a faithful wife to her late husband and a loving mother and “Granny.” She had devoted her life to taking care of family with her late husband.

  • Michelle Hutchason Brewer

    Michelle Hutchason Brewer, 45, of Big Clifty died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2011, at her residence.

    She was born Jan. 8, 1966, and was a member of New Life Assembly of God.

    She was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Townsend Hutchason.

    Survivors include her parents, Randy and Janice Hutchason of Louisville; two daughters, Bethany Brewer and Brandi Bush, both of Big Clifty; a granddaughter, Destiny Campbell of Big Clifty; a brother, Marti Hutchason of Leitchfield; and two sisters, Mary Nugent and Melinda Hutchason Gordon, both of Louisville.

  • Willard Otis Kerr

    Willard Otis Kerr, 96, of Glendale, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Paul B. Hall Hospital in Paintsville.

    He was a native of Hart County and a longtime member of Gilead Baptist Church. He was a lifelong farmer, loving father and husband and a dedicated Christian man.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Maranda Kerr on Jan. 28, 2009; a son, Henry Allen Kerr; his parents, Henry and Fannie Philpott Kerr; one sister, Alma Krahn; two brothers, Walter Kerr and James Kerr; and two sisters-in-law, Sue Masterson and Hazel Kerr.

  • MeLissa Charline Riggs Willard Campbell

    MeLissa Charline Riggs Willard Campbell, 39, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011.

    She was preceded in death by her father, William Earl Riggs.

    She is survived by two sons, Zachory Willard and Matthew Willard, and their father, Eric Willard, all of Louisville; her mother, Diana (Randell) Booker of Hodgenville; two sisters, Tiffany (Mike) Franklin of Hodgenville and Kimberly Jenkins of Owensboro; a brother, Shannon Earl (Anna) Riggs of Hodgenville; three nieces; four nephews; and many other family members and friends.

  • JoAnn Moore

    JoAnn Moore, 70, of Brandenburg, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit at Norton Hospital in Louisville.

    Survivors include her husband, John P. Moore; and three sons, James Moore, Mark Moore and Matthew Moore.

    The funeral was Thursday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove with burial in Rock Haven Baptist Cemetery.

    Robert P. “Bob” Moore, 64, of Madisonville, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at his home. 

    Survivors include his wife, Judy King Moore; and two sons, Jim Moore and Capt. Matt Moore.

    The funeral was Thursday at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with burial in Grapevine Cemetery.

  • Esther Louise Scott

    Esther Louise Scott, 94, of Leitchfield, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at Grayson Manor Nursing Home.

    Survivors include two daughters, Susan Lindsey and Nadine Scott; and a son, Donald Scott.

    The funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church in Franklin, Ind., with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Center Grove, Ind.

    Visitation continues at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

  • Carol Ann Zaborowski

    Carol Ann Zaborowski, 69, of Radcliff, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at her home.

    She is survived by a son, Kevin R. Van Horn and his wife, Lori, of Radcliff; a daughter, Keri-Lynn Steco and her husband, Michael, of Hazleton, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Andrea Van Horn, Sebastian Van Horn and Frank Steco.

    A memorial service is at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Restoration Worship Center, 640 Olivia Alley, Radcliff.

    Mildred L. Dukes, 88, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville.

    She was a homemaker, a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church and a former long-time member of Lees Lane Baptist Church.

    Mildred is survived by her husband, Howard Dukes; a son, David Dukes (Barbara); a daughter; Peggy Day (Earl); five grandsons, Scott, Todd, Chris and Drew Dukes and Billy Day; and 12 great-grandchildren.

  • Gerald Whitmore Hunt

    Gerald Whitmore Hunt, 39, of Radcliff, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011.
    He was a U.S. Army veteran of Desert Storm and also was in the U.S. Navy Reserves.

    He is survived by his parents, Jerold and Dung Hunt of Radcliff; his daughter, Gabrielle Hunt; and his sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Mike Needy of Louisville.

    The funeral was Thursday, Feb. 3, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with the Rev. Arthur S. Leach officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.
