  • B. Frances Cave

    B. Frances Cave, 78, of Upton, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave.

    She was a homemaker.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Nola Tilley Cave; one brother, Crawford Cave; and one sister, Ruth Wilson.

    She is survived by three brothers, Lee Cave of Elizabethtown, Ray Cave of Paris, Ky., and Paul Cave of Bonnieville.

    The funeral was Sunday, Jan. 23, at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton with the Rev. Glenn Routt officiating. Burial was in Smith Cemetery.

  • Virgil Stanley Murphy

    Virgil Stanley Murphy, 77, of Munfordville, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave.

    Survivors include his wife, Marie Allen Murphy; and two daughters, Shirley C. O’Neal and Lisa Cash.

    The funeral was Sunday at Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville with burial in Murphy Family Cemetery in Munfordville.

  • Bernice Rhea Bowen Underwood

    Bernice Rhea Bowen Underwood, 79, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

    She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Grant and Donna White; and three sons, Roger Underwood, Tony Underwood and Tim Underwood.

    The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with burial in Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.

    Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and continues at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

  • David Alan Cisco

    David Alan Cisco, 53, of Vine Grove, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at his home.

    He was a graduate of North Hardin High School, an avid University of Kentucky fan and retired from civil service after 19 years.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Noel Cisco.

    Matt Hudson, 27, of Radcliff, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

    He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jack Hudson and Francis Devine.

    He is survived by his parents, David and Frances Hudson of Radcliff; and his grandmothers, Jean Imler of Flaherty and Tae Devine of Radcliff.

    A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 22, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with the Rev. Bill Rounsaville officiating.

    Rosetta Cook, 89, of Leitchfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

    Survivors include three daughters, Audrey Willis, Marcella Logsdon and Roxanna Wood.

    The funeral is at 1 p.m. CST Sunday at New Freedom Church with burial in New Freedom Cemetery.

    Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST Saturday at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield and continues at 9 a.m. Sunday at the church.

  • Dorothy LaVerne Shelton

    Dorothy LaVerne Shelton, 74, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

    The Hardin County native was a member of Union Christian Church. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Anna Mae Coyle Nicholas.

  • Edward Murl ‘Mr. Ed’ Madison

    Edward Murl “Mr. Ed” Madison, 87, of Rocky Hill, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, in Bowling Green.

    Survivors include his wife, Violet Wells Madison; and two daughters, Doris Emerson and Judy Besser.

    The funeral was Saturday at Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel in Park City with burial in Rocky Hill Cemetery.

    Billy Reed Davis, 60, of Cave City, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave.

    Survivors include his mother, Beulah Young Davis.

    The funeral is at 1 p.m. CST Saturday at Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville with burial in Cherry Springs Cemetery in Cub Run.

    Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. CST Friday and continues from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST Saturday at the funeral home.

  • Virginia Gibson

    Virginia Gibson, 84, of Clarkson, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Grayson Manor Nursing Home.

    She was born Oct. 25, 1926. She was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church and she was a housewife.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, W.T. Gibson; and her parents, Willie and Maggie Shartzer Gragson.

    Survivors include two sons, Jr. Gibson of Clarkson and Carroll Gibson of Leitchfield; a daughter, Debbie Elmore of Leitchfield; three grandchildren, Kim, Tammy and Todd; four stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

  • Mary Evelyn Flores

    Mary Evelyn Flores, 76, of Radcliff, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at her home.

    Evelyn’s memberships include VFW Post No. 10281 Auxiliary; American Legion Post No. 113 Auxiliary; and MOCA Pup No. 7.

    She was preceded in death by two sons, Perry Thomason and Robert Flores; her parents, Bernie and Mary Atcher; and several sisters and brother.

  • Shirley Jane Graham

    Shirley Jane Graham, 75, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

    She was the former Shirley Jane Garvin, a native of New Albany, Ind. She was a former press operator for Elizabethtown Sportswear and attended the Church of God Church in Elizabethtown.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Graham Sr.; a daughter, Shirley “Bubbles” Durham; a granddaughter, Daria Graham; a brother, Junie Garvin; and a sister, Mary Ann Spellman.

    Jane Denney Nyholm, 74, of Clinton, Tenn., died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at Methodist Medical Center.

    Survivors include her husband, Frank Nyholm; and two sons, Jamie Nyholm and Bruce Nyholm.

    The funeral was Friday, Jan. 21, at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Clinton with a graveside service Saturday at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

    Henry Donald Fullen, 79, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Kensington Manor.

    He was a native of Ripley, Tenn., and a member of College Heights United Methodist Church. He retired from the U.S. Army after 27 years, having served during Vietnam, and he was a retired bus driver with Hardin County Schools.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmage and Eddie Lou Fullen; and two brothers, Tommy Dewitt and Billy Gene Fullen.

    Leroy Poynter, 74, of Horse Cave, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

    Survivors include his wife, Wanda Poynter; and a stepdaughter, Virginia Sturgeon.

    The funeral was Friday at Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville with burial in Cave City Cemetery in Cave City.

    Ricardo A. “Little Rick” Florez, 21, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, in San Antonio.

    He was born in Fort Knox on Feb. 13, 1989. He attended Wagner High School in San Antonio where he expressed his passion for drawing and reading.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Ricardo "Ricky" Kinnard.

    Jonathan W. Biddle, 19, of Upton, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011. The memorial service is at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Upton Community Building. Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Upton Community Building in Upton.

  • Alan D. ‘Deanie’ Ash

    Alan D. “Deanie” Ash, 76, of Glendale, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

    He was a native of Glendale and a member of Glendale Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Bussman/Cooper Industries after 40 years of employment.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Rose Lee Berry Ash; one sister, Mary Fuller; and a brother, Roy Russell.
