    Bernard Patrick Sullivan, 81, of Radcliff, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at University Hospital in Louisville.
    Retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 Sullivan served 32 years in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War in which he did two tours of duty.

    Pamela Rose Alberts, 49, of Caneyville, formerly of Lebanon Junction, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
    She was the former Pamela Rose Shuffitt. A native of Jefferson County, she was a former employee of Publishers Printing in Shepherdsville.
    She was preceded in death by her sister, Patty Ayers.

    Rebecca Ann “Becky” Voignier Hinkle, 48, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011. The funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church with burial in St. James Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

  • Brenda Carolyn Dever Streur

    Brenda Carolyn Dever Streur, 67, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, peacefully at her home.

    A native of Hardin County, she was a member of Called Out Ministries.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Streur; her parents, Owen and Leona Johnson Dever; two sons, Randall and Steven Streur; and three brothers, Bobby, Billy and Charlie Dever.

    Margie D. Williams, 72, of Clarkson, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at her residence.

    She was born Aug. 22, 1938. She was a housewife and member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hardin and Elva Logsdon Meredith; a brother, Arcle Meredith; and a grandson, Christopher Jarad Milliner.

  • Ann Lois Rake

    Ann Lois Rake, 75, of Ekron, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff.

    She retired from civil service work at Fort Knox.  Ann was a 28-year cancer survivor. She was very active in her community and was a member of the Foster Care Program in Meade County, Longview United Methodist Church and was an avid bowler.

    She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Letendre; a brother, William “Bill” Rake; and her parents, Henry and Ora Rake.

  • Mary Glenion Riggs Hodges

    Mary Glenion Riggs Hodges, 73, of Cecilia, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. 

    She was an avid University of Kentucky fan.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Hodges; her parents, Charles and Anna Reeves Riggs; two brothers, Clifford and Creston Riggs; and one sister, Marvilla Aubrey.

    Rebecca Ann “Becky” Voignier Hinkle, 48, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at her residence.

    She was a native of Clarksville, Ind., and a member of St. James Catholic Church.  She was co-owner of Papa John’s Pizza in the Elizabethtown area since 1990 and was a member of the Breast Cancer Support Group and Lymphedema Support Group of Hardin County.

    Jewel King Lawton, 69, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.

    She was a native of Hardin County and a member of First Baptist Church. She retired from E’town Sportswear and Crucible.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Lawton Jr.; a daughter; Theresa K. King; her parents, Hubert and Betty Alice Williams Sanderson; three brothers, Woodson Sanderson, Charles Sanderson and William T. Sanderson; and a sister, Alice Joyce Wiley.

    Tommy Bratcher, 60, of Clarkson, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011. The funeral is at 11 a.m. CST today at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home in Clarkson with burial in Clarkson Cemetery. Visitation continues at 8 a.m. CST today at the funeral home.

    Curtis Aubern Brown, 69, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Severns Valley Baptist Church with burial in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 1:30 to 8 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

    Joseph E. Burks, 89, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, Jan., 11, 2011.  The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Centenary United Methodist Church of Shelbyville with interment in Grove Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home in Shelbyville.

    Russell John Sager Sr., 80, of Elizabethtown, formerly of St. Paul, Minn., died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at Woodland Terrace Health Care Facility.

    The family has chosen cremation with services at a later date. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

    Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements.

    Curtis Aubern Brown died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, following a two-year struggle with prostate cancer.

    He was born Nov. 3, 1941, at home in Buffalo, and grew up in Buffalo Baptist Church.

    Survivors include two sons, Lee Bratcher and Tanner Bratcher; and his mother, Lorene Bratcher.

    Irvan L. Dennis, 69, of Clarkson, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Springview Health & Rehabilitation.

    Survivors include two brothers, Herley Dennis and Edward Dennis; and a sister, Evlin Riggs.

  • Ruth Rosalia Reick Caspar

    Ruth Rosalia Reick Caspar of Paducah passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Superior Nursing Care.

    Mrs. Caspar was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was a charter member of the Lourdes Hospital Auxiliary, where she served as committee chairperson for 20 years. She volunteered for 41 years in leadership for 4-H, served with the St. Thomas More Altar Society for many years and was active with Boy Scouts of America when her sons were young.

    For more than 50 years, he was the owner and operator of Shelby Supply Company in Shelbyville. 

  • Charles Bernard Clark

    Charles Bernard Clark, 86, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff.

    Mr. Clark, a World War II Army veteran, retired from the civil service plumbing department at Fort Knox with 38 years of service. He was a member of Stovall United Methodist Church, American Legion Post No. 146 and held the position of president of the Rolling Fork Beagle Club for 50 years.

  • Charles Marvin 'Charlie' Stovall Sr.

    Charles Marvin “Charlie” Stovall Sr., 69, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Louisville and New Haven, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011.

    He is survived by two sons, Charles Marvin “Chuck” Stovall Jr. and Cory Brandon Stovall.

    The funeral was Friday in the chapel of William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St., New Haven. Burial was private.
