This raccoon is one of many animals normally found in nature that are rehabilitated at Nolin River Wildlife in Glendale. Licensed rehabilitator Mary Key also helps animals such as skunks, deer, opossums and squirrels after they are injured or orphaned. Key hopes to increase understanding and compassion for wildlife and help people understand their importance in the environment instead of killing or relocating them. After rehabilitation, they are released back into their natural environment. For tips and suggestions on how to interact with wildlife, go to Nolin River Wildlife’s Facebook page.
