Gov. Steve Beshear announced Wednesday that AT&T is adding 20 full-time customer service representatives to its East Park call center in the Carter County community of Grayson.

According to a news release, AT&T also is hiring an additional 38 full- and part-time positions at retail stores in six Kentucky communities, including Bowling Green, Owensboro, Lexington, Louisville, Corbin and Winchester.

Narrowing focus to its core market, First Federal Savings Bank has shed some of its former branches.

First Financial Service Corp., parent company of First Federal Savings Bank of Elizabethtown,a nnounced Monday it closed on the sale of its four Indiana branches in Corydon, Elizabeth, George­town and Lanes­ville to First Savings Bank, F.S.B., a subsidiary of First Savings Financial Group Inc. The sale was final as of July 6.

With winter wheat harvest wrapping up in Hardin County, producers now need to turn their attention to storing the harvested crop.
