  • Skipper’s Pool and Spa Services holds ribbon cutting

     

    The Hardin County Chamber of commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony April 8 for Skipper’s Pool and Spa Services at 1018 N. Dixie Ave. in Elizabethtown. Pictured at the event are owners Skipper and Rita Hatfield, Chamber President Brad Richardson, family, friends, other chamber members and ambassadors.

  • Blair promoted at Wilson & Muir Bank

    Frank B. Wilson, president of Wilson & Muir Bank & Trust Co., recently announced that the Bank’s Board of Directors has promoted an officer from its and Hardin County market.

    Promoted to vice president in the Elizabethtown office, is Jeffrey T. Blair.

  • 250 jobs coming to Elizabethtown

    An $180 million investment announcement on the other side of the world is expected to create 250 jobs in Hardin County.

    Uflex Ltd., a global leader in plastic packaging, plans to construct its latest state-of-the-art manufacturing center along Black Branch Road in Elizabethtown. Gov. Steve Beshear and Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Larry Hayes are in India to sign a memorandum of understanding, which outlines state incentives and the company's commitments.

  • Etown Florist receives honor

    Elizabethtown Florist has been selected as a Presidents Club member in Teleflora, Inc., for 2011.

    Teleflora is a national wire service organization of 17,000 professional florists from around the world. 

    The Teleflora Presidents Club is an elite program created exclusively for the best florists in America. Only five percent of Teleflora’s membership qualifies to become a President’s Club member.

  • Jim and Jerry’s Express Car Wash becomes BBB member

    Cathy Williamson, Branch manager for the Better Business Bureau presented an Accreditation plaque to Cheryl Howard of Jim and Jerry’s Express Car Wash. Jim and Jerry’s Express Car Wash recently qualified to be an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau. In order to be an accredited member of the BBB, the business must meet the 15 Standards for Membership established by the Better Business Bureau.   • Batteries Plus holds ribbon cutting

    The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce sponsored a ribbon cutting on April 2, for one of its newest chamber members, Batteries Plus at 948 N. Mulberry St. in Elizabethtown.
