A Bardstown man was arrested and charged with assault Friday after allegedly hitting his significant other in the face.
Kristopher McFadden, 38, was involved in an argument with another person which turned physical, according to his arrest citation. McFadden struck the person in the face numerous times and the victim’s eyes were swollen shut, the citation said. There was a laceration above the victim’s right eye and the side of the head above the right eye.
The victim was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital. McFadden is the boyfriend of the victim, according to the arrest citation.
McFadden was charged with second-degree assault-domestic violence, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted.
McFadden was booked in the Hardin County Detention Center. A bond was not set as of 2:30 p.m. Saturday. He is scheduled to be arraigned 8:30 a.m. Monday in Hardin District Court.
