Two northern Hardin County residents were arrested Friday morning and charged with possessing 20 stolen checks plus debit and credit cards.

Christopher Lewis Jr., 34, of Vine Grove said he trades the cards for drugs, according to his arrest citation. Lewis was in possession of 11 credit cards in his vehicle when arrested, according to police. He also had two blank checks the owner said Lewis did not have permission to have, the arrest report said.

Inside a backpack, he also had “a rock of crystal meth” and a smoking pipe with meth residue, the report said.

Christina Villalobos, 38, of Radcliff had seven debit cards with her that didn’t belong to her when they were stopped, according to an arrest citation.

Both are charged with trafficking in financial information, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted. Lewis also is charged with first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, a Class D felony punishable by one to three years in prison.

Both remain in the Hardin County Detention Center. They will be arraigned Monday in court on the charges.
