Authorities have arrested a Radcliff man accused of sexually abusing a female child.
Sean Christopher Jurgens, 28, was arrested Thursday afternoon by Radcliff police on a warrant and charged with three felonies. He is being held in lieu of a $500,000 cash bond in the Hardin County Detention Center.
Police said Jurgens engaged in sexual relations with a female family member younger than 12 at least twice a week for more than a year.
According to an arrest warrant, Jurgens reportedly admitted to his wife the allegations against him were true. The abuse reportedly began in October 2017 and ended in January of this year, the warrant states.
The acts occurred no less than two times per week, according to the warrant. She was subjected to sexual intercourse and forced to participate in other sexual contact.
Jurgens is charged with incest – forcible compulsion/incapable of consent or under 18 years of age and first-degree sodomy – incapable of consent/physically helpless, Class B felonies punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison, if convicted, and first-degree sexual abuse victim younger than 12, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted.
Jurgens is scheduled to appear today in Hardin District Court.
