Two women were arrested Monday afternoon by Radcliff police after reportedly piling merchandise into two shopping carts at Walmart and then rushing past checkouts without paying, according to arrest citations.
In all, Cynthia Reeves, 29, of Radcliff, and Jamee Seaborn, 30, of Rineyville, tried to exit the store without paying for $374.54 worth of merchandise in the two carts, the citations stated. They were arrested at 1:29 p.m.
According to a citation, when Seaborn was confronted by a store loss prevention associate, she “rammed’’ the cart into the individual, causing a minor injury.
Reeves fled the store and later was caught in the parking lot by a Radcliff Police Department officer.
Reeves is charged with second-degree robbery, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted, and second-degree fleeing or evading police, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in prison, if convicted.
Seaborn is charged with second-degree robbery.
The women will appear today for arraignment in Hardin District Court.
