Seniors motivate younger students during annual walk

John Hardin High School seniors walk through a hallway Thursday morning at New Highland Elementary School during the high school’s Senior Walk. The seniors were greeted and cheered on by New Highland students. The Senior Walk serves to motivate younger students about high school graduation.

With the sound of drums and cheers of young children echoing throughout the hallway, John Hardin High School seniors walked through New Highland Elementary School on Thursday to celebrate the upcoming end of their high school education during the school’s Senior Walk.

The Senior Walk is held in school districts across the county. The walk serves to motivate younger students about their futures and have the graduating seniors reflect on their time in school and revisit previous teachers.

The seniors also visited Heartland Elementary School and Bluegrass Middle School, which are both feeder schools to the high school.

Seniors from Central Hardin High School held their Senior Walk earlier this week and North Hardin High School will hold their Senior Walk today.

Elizabethtown High School seniors held a Senior Walk earlier this month.
