Kenny Gillenwater stayed focused as he drove his school bus through the back roads of Glendale on a dewy Thursday morning. Having already gone through the route Wednesday, he worked to remember the stops, rather than finding them.
Before the start of a new school year, Elizabethtown Independent Schools and Hardin County Schools give students an opportunity to visit the place they will spend about 6.7 hours per day out of about 180 days of the year.
These opportunities are known as open houses, because they welcome students and parents into the schools.
The Kentucky Arts Council recently awarded 96 arts organizations from 34 counties throughout the state with $1.4 million divided for the 2015 fiscal year. This money is for its Kentucky Arts Partnership grant.
The Music and Arts Center for Cultural Learning in Elizabethtown received a KAP grant of $3,537.
