Elizabethtown Community and Technical College students aiming to transfer their credits or associate degree to a four-year institution have a unique opportunity to learn more about the process without leaving their home.
Twenty-four Elizabethtown Community and Technical College students placed first, second or third last Friday at a SkillsUSA regional competition at the school. SkillsUSA is a competition for high school and college students to showcase their knowledge, understanding and skills of the workforce.
Many schools at Fort Knox have been adopted by a military company or brigade to help nurture the children in the area. Like other groups, the Army Reserve’s 84th Training Command at Fort Knox works with schools throughout the school year but there is one specific school it has partnered with for four consecutive years, and that school isn’t on post.
At T.K. Stone Middle School Satruday, girls proved math and science was for them at a SciGirls event sponsored by Elizabethtown Independent Schools. The event coincidentally fell on the same day as Pi Day.
