Hardin Countians can stock up Saturday on produce and meat grown and raised within 50 miles of Elizabethtown.
The Hardin County Farmers’ Market will have its opening day from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday. This marks the first Saturday of the year for the market, which is offered weekly through April and biweekly through October.
When Jerry Foley, Hardin County animal control director, looks at the recently built 17,000-square-foot shelter in Elizabethtown, he doesn’t see it as just an adoption center, but a building that belongs to the community.
