Empty polling places defined the 2011 primary elections in Hardin County and that result was in line with the rest of the state.
About 10 percent of Democrat and Republican voters, 6,148 people, turned out Tuesday to cast their ballots in Hardin County, which included races for the Republican gubernatorial nominee, secretary of state candidates for both parties, Republican candidate for auditor of public accounts, Democratic candidate for state treasurer and agriculture commissioner for both parties.
