Bobby Thompson’s military career took him and his wife, Sharon, all over the country and world, but the one constant in their lives was the American Red Cross.
“She used to be the colonel’s wife,” Bobby said. “Now I’m Sharon’s husband. Best job title I’ve ever had.”
Sharon is retiring this week after almost 45 years of service, nearly 25 of which she logged in Elizabethtown at the Red Cross office on West Dixie Avenue.
