A proposed development plan for a Meijer supercenter on Ring Road cleared the Elizabethtown Planning Commission on Tuesday by a unanimous vote.
The commission previously tabled the plan for 30 days because an easement to the vacant property on the east was not planned, but the proposed plan presented Tuesday rectifies what some on the planning commission saw as an issue.
A route has been selected for the Ring Road extension to Interstate 65 and U.S. 31W. Letters could be distributed as soon as this week to property owners impacted by the plans and the transportation cabinet plans to conduct a public meeting next month.
In its work session Monday afternoon, Elizabethtown Executive Assistant Charlie Bryant presented a speed study to city council for Meadow Lane, a road situated between Elizabethtown Christian Academy and Morningside Elementary School.
