Traffic in the northbound lanes of Interstate 65 Wednesday had reduced traffic flow after a semi truck ran off the road and another caught fire in separate incidents between the 99- and 100-mile markers.

A non-injury crash around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday clogged traffic until about 4 a.m., Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Chris Jessie said. At 6 a.m., a semi caught on fire, adding to the morning traffic issues.

At least two local churches will dissolve their charters with the Boy Scouts of America once they expire later this year because of a new policy accepting gay youth into the organization, which takes effect Jan. 1, 2014.

Severns Valley Baptist Church in Elizabethtown and Rineyville Baptist Church have disavowed their partnerships with scouting because the new policy contradicts Biblical and church standards adhered to by both congregations, church leaders said Tuesday.

Many vendors at the Vine Grove Farmers Market no longer will have to pay for business licenses if a proposed change to a city ordinance is passed.

The change would waive the need for a license for participants buying and selling fresh produce on Tuesdays and Fridays in May through November.

Those who choose to sell prepared food items on days other than those specified still will be required to get a business license.

The ordinance with the change was brought before the Vine Grove City Council for a first reading Monday.

Though seven days have passed since a mowing company found her body alongside Interstate 65, a woman remains nameless as police continue to search for her identity.

The woman, identified as being between 20 and 40 years old, was discovered around 9:30 a.m. May 29 between the 99- and 100 mile-markers beside northbound I-65, according to Kentucky State Police.

Hardin County Coroner Dr. Bill Lee said preliminary autopsy results indicate the case of death as multiple blunt force injuries to the head. A full autopsy is pending toxicology results.
