Bill Goodman has been cattle farming since he was 5 years old.
The Elizabethtown resident began helping his father on land his father bought in 1925 to raise various crops and livestock. Goodman never has known a time when he didn’t know he would one day farm like his father.
“I never got out of it,” Goodman, 85, said.
Still, he didn’t expect to be honored for a lifetime of farm living.
