Two of the four Elizabethtown men indicted last week by a Hardin County grand jury in the May 22 death of a Vine Grove man will make their initial court appearances today in Hardin Circuit Court.

Tyler Lee Lawrence, 20, and Donyale Antoine Jones, 27, are scheduled to appear at 10 a.m. today, while Elijah Da’shon Barnett, 22, and Temorris Mandrette Davis Jr., 21, will be arraigned June 18. Each is charged with complicity to commit murder and first-degree robbery in the shooting death of Lashard Harrison, 25, a 2012 graduate of North Hardin High School.

Harrison’s body was found in a parking lot behind Pin Oak Court apartments in Radcliff.

As part of their bond conditions, the accused are to have no contact with each other.

Hardin County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shane Young is expected to seek the death penalty against all four men.

The murder charge is death penalty eligible since there is an aggravating factor of robbery leading to the fatal shooting. Harrison was shot multiple times, according to the Hardin County Coroner’s Office and witness accounts.

Lawrence also was indicted on a charge of tampering with physical evidence and Barnett was indicted for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and being a first-degree persistent felony offender.

According to arrest citations, the men went to Radcliff with the intention of robbing Harrison of money they paid him for drugs.

“As Harrison turned to leave, Barnett and Jones shot Harrison multiple times causing his death,” the citation said. With Harrison shot, the men then retrieved the cash and fled in Jones’ vehicle, according to the citation.

Barnett, Morris, Jones and Lawrence are being held in lieu of $1 million cash bonds in the Hardin County Detention Center.
