    In Hardin County:

    30 years ago, the Hardin County Road Department announced it had made major improvements in roads and bridges during the year and was ready for whatever winter would bring in the way of snow and ice.

    20 years ago, the 6th Kentucky Infantry Regiment sponsored a cotillion Christmas party of the Civil War era at the Brown-Pusey House in Elizabethtown; men, dressed in the blue and grey of Union and Confederate Civil War uniforms, danced with women in ruffled ball gowns and enjoyed food from the Civil War era.

    In Hardin County:

    30 years ago, in a special meeting, Elizabethtown City Council took the first steps to establish a “ring road” to eventually relieve the heavy flow of traffic on U.S. 31W, Dixie Avenue and U.S. 62. They unanimously voted to begin buying right-of-way property through which a connector highway could be built which would “ring” the northwest quarter of the city.

    Gerald P. Brown (1966). Harassment. Sixty days in jail probated for two years on conditions in the order. Total $185.

    In Hardin County:

    30 years ago,  the program at Wesley Hilltop House was growing, serving meals to more than 100 senior citizens several days a week, providing a reading room and library for young folks and giving teenagers a chance to shoot pool in the game room.

    The following cases of Driving Under the Influence and the resolution of those cases are found in Hardin District Court Division I in Elizabethtown.

    In Hardin County:

    30 years ago, baritone Forrest Lorey spoke to and sang for students at Burkhead Elementary School; Lorey was part of the Affiliate Artist Program and had been speaking to students in Hardin County about opera.

    20 years ago, state environmental and occupational safety officials were investigating what had caused three employees of a Vine Grove dry cleaning business to collapse and become ill.
