State Rep. Jimmie Lee can expect at least two primary opponents, whose combined age is less than his 74 years.
Lee, who is serving his 20th year in the state House, said he’s excited by the prospect.
“I’m thrilled to see young people out there interested in government,” he said. “I never have in my life begrudged anybody who wanted to run.”
His two Democratic challengers are a graduate student and substitute teacher plus a software program manager who lost in two previous attempts to unseat Lee.
