Thomas Carlton Bainbridge, 57, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove with burial with military honors in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

ELIZABETHTOWN – A 52-acre tract of prime ground that’s been “the talk” among local developers and businesspeople for weeks sold Saturday for $2.7 million to a well-known Elizabethtown convenience store owner.

“John O.” Lewis, owner of John O’s Markets on Dixie Avenue and Ring Road, diagonally from the auctioned lot, said he bought the home and property formerly owned by Courtland Cox, to protect his interests.
