As a scrawny, fresh-faced soldier, Col. Ted Martin never could have imagined his career would come full circle.
The 27-year military veteran has retraced his steps to the area where his career as an armor commissioned officer was launched. Only this time he is in charge.
Martin was named commandant Wednesday for the U.S. Army Armor School and will lead the final phases of armor’s transition to Fort Benning, Ga., as part of the Army’s Base Realignment and Closure initiative.
