Both candidates for Kentucky’s open 2nd District U.S. House seat expressed concerns about the proposed $700 billion federal bailout of the country’s financial system.

“I’m not happy at all about the fact that we’re facing a government bailout of these industries,” said Sen. Brett Guthrie, R-Bowling Green during a Monday night debate on Kentucky Educational Television.

Edward Truman Causey, 59, of Radcliff, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008. A celebration of his life will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at Abundant Life Church in Radcliff. Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Dale Darland Jr., 22, of Irvington, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008. The funeral is at 11 a.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington.
