  • BOYS' PREP BASKETBALL: LaRue County locks up top seed (01/15)

MUNFORDVILLE — Depending on the vantage point, in order for Ivy Brown and the LaRue County Lady Hawks to take revenge on the Hart County Lady Raiders, it took as little as two months or as long as almost 17 years.

Brown, a standout sophomore forward, poured in a game-high 25 points and grabbed a night-best 13 rebounds Friday as the surging Lady Hawks finally beat their 18th District rival on its home floor, 53-43.

NEW YEAR. How is your new year going so far? The first few days were okay, but then the dreaded sick bug hit. There are just too many symptoms to mention, but let me tell you it is no fun. So many people have it and it usually lasts around 72 hours. If you’re lucky and haven’t had it, just remember to keep chicken broth soups, crackers and Popsicles on hand.
