Earl Bowen

Earl Bowen, 81, of Hammonsville, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at the Richwood Nursing Home in LaGrange.

He was a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Effie Taylor Bowen; two sisters, Edna Rexroat and Lillian Locke; and three brothers, Glen Bowen, Orville Bowen and Kermit Bowen.

He is survived by a brother, Cletus Bowen, and his wife, Christine, of Smithfield; a niece; and three nephews.

LOUISVILLE — No one expected the United States team to be in this position.
