    Hardin County Schools will be closed Friday because of snow and slick roadways around the district, Public Relations Director Dick Thornton said.

    HCS was closed today because of icy road conditions as well. It was the district’s first snow day for the school year.

    Elizabethtown Independent Schools had yet to make a decision about opening their schools on Friday as of 5 p.m. Thursday. They were closed for school today as well.

    Elizabeth P. Davis, 63, of Radcliff, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday at Percell & Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
