At the top of the local ticket Tuesday, Elizabethtown businessman Al Rider won the Democratic nomination for Hardin County judge-executive.
Rider will face two-term incumbent Republican Harry Berry in the November general election.
“It’s a challenge,” he said. “I’m an underdog.”
Rider finished with more than 50 percent of the vote, capturing 4,652 votes. Perry Malito finished second with 2,927 votes and Tim Hinson was third with 1,364 votes.
