  • Stitchers Quilt Guild holds workshop

    The Stitchers Quilt Guild had a workshop taught by local quilt instructor and member of the guild Linda Griffiths. She taught the techniques she used on her quilt “Canna Finish” that won second place at the American Quilt Society Annual show in Paducah several years ago. Griffiths also teaches other classes around Kentucky and at the Hardin County Extension Office.

    The Garden Club of Elizabethtown participated in the Garden Club of Kentucky’s “Golden Daffodils Days” by planting daffodils at the Arboretum at the Pritchard Community Center.

  • Local start-up sells for $300M

    One of Elizabethtown’s most successful employers and one of Greater Louisville’s fastest growing businesses has sold to a national computerized transaction processing services firm for $300 million.

    On Friday, publicly traded Jack Henry and Associates Inc. announced its plan to buy Elizabethtown-based iPay within the next month.

  • Dugginses celebrate 68th wedding anniversary

     

    Robert C. and Mary Elizabeth Cardin Duggins celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on April 7, 2010.

    They were married April 7, 1942.

    They have two children, Ann Schell and Robert Shelby Duggins, both of Louisville; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
