We have been having wonderful weather lately. Our garden is beginning to need some rain. Perhaps we will get some soon. We thought a racoon had taken to our corn, and set a trap, only to catch an opossum. So I guess it was the opossum eating our corn, as we haven’t had any bothered since. We picked beans Monday evening and on Tuesday I canned 7 quarts and 5 pints. They were so nice, had very few that had been eaten on by insects. But we stick them with tobacco stalks, which I think helps to keep the insects away.
