  • Parents announce birth of Brayden and Breanna

     

    Miller and Natalie Boley of Elizabethtown announce the birth of their twins, Brayden Miller Boley and Breanna Jean Boley, on April 23, 2009, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. Brayden weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19 inches long. Breanna weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 19½ inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are David and Karen Mills of Elizabethtown and the late Donna Mills. Paternal grandparents are Jim and Carol Boley of Hodgenville.

     

  • E’town Junior Woman’s Club has special visitor, speakers at August meeting

    Jessica Christiansen of Radcliff and Jason White of Magnolia were married June 27, 2009, at Carlson Hall at Camp Carlson with Brian Frederick, minister of Glendale Christian Church, officiating.

    The bride is the daughter of Robin Christiansen of Vine Grove and Wayne Christiansen of Philadelphia. The groom is the son of Barbara and Jerry White of Magnolia.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father, Wayne Christiansen.

    Allison White served as maid of honor, and Isabella and Arriana Rivera were the flower girls.

  • Lindsey graduates from basic military training

    LINDSEY. Indiana Army National Guard Pvt. Jacob A. Lindsey graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga., on June 5. A 2008 graduate of Knightstown High School in Knightstown, Ind., he is the son of Jeff and Laura Lindsey of Knightstown and the grandson of Jerry and Rita Brown and Ruth Lindsey of Elizabethtown and the late Robert Lindsey.

    Michael and Jill King and their daughter, Lindzie, were honored with the Vine Grove Yard of the Month designation for August by the Vine Grove Woman’s Club for their yard at 110 Alpine Street. They have many beautiful flowers in different areas of their yard.

    The News-Enterprise RADCLIFF — Sophomore Mary Beth Russell had a match-high 13 kills as the North Hardin Christian Lady Falcons improved to 8-2 with a 25-20, 18-25, 25-18 win over Somerset Christian on Friday. Russell also had 22 digs, eight aces and two assists, while senior Lauren Buell had 10 digs, two kills and two assists. Junior Haley Daniels chipped in with seven assist

  • East Hardin students donates to Locks of Love for third time

    SARA MONROE

    Sara Monroe of Elizabethtown recently donated 10 inches of her hair to the Locks of Love Foundation.

    The 13-year-old East Hardin Middle School student is involved with the Lady Rebels basketball team. This is the third time Sara has donated her hair to Locks of Love, making her donation a total of 30 inches of her hair.
