  • Eubank celebrates 50th wedding anniversary

    Richard and Sylvia Eubank of Vine Grove will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration in their honor from 2 to 5 p.m., Sept. 24, 2011, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 350 Mount Zion Road, Elizabethtown.

    They were married Sept. 27, 1961.

    They have two sons, James Eubank of Vine Grove and Daniel Eubank of Lexington; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

    The couple request no gifts.

  • Logsdons celebrate 25th wedding anniversary

    Donnie and Janet Logsdon of Elizabethtown celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Aug. 30, 2011, with a cruise to the Bahamas.

    They were married Aug. 30, 1986.

    They have one daughter, Amanda Conrads; and one grandchild.

    Dr. and Mrs. Timothy Law of Elizabethtown announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Samantha Jean Law, to Wesley William Lega, son of Kevin and Barbara Lega of Louisville.

    The wedding is Sept. 24, 2011.

    Jackie and Barbara Riggs of Upton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Belinda S. Riggs, to Daniel L. Melton, son of Marty Melton and Donna Atwell of Cub Run.

    The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mary B. Hornback of Sonora and the late Jimmie Hornback and the late Cecil C. Riggs and Mary Hazel Riggs of Upton.

    The prospective groom is a 2011 graduate of Hart County High School. He is the grandson of Harold and Bernice McGovern and Donnie and Susan Horton, all of Cub Run.

  • Parents welcome Chloe Danielle Reed

    The Rev. William Brandon and Olivia Danielle Reed of Hodgenville announce the birth of a daughter, Chloe Danielle Reed, on July 22, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long.

    Grandparents are Willie and Lauralene Reed of Hodgenville and Jeff and Denise Gillenwater of Elizabethtown.

  • Hudson wins national competition

    David Hudson of Radcliff, a local hair stylist at J’s Ebony Beauty Salon in Radcliff, attended the Bronner Brothers International Hair and Beauty Show at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from Aug. 20-23. He won first place in the Most Creative Total Look category and second place in the Grab-bag competition.
