  • Crims Australian Shepherd receives International Championship

     

     

    Jim and Carol Crim of Rineyville are the breeders and owners of an IABCA International Champion Toy Australian Shepherd. Crim’s Rough Rider, a.k.a. Teddy, was shown at the International All Breed Canine Association show held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington on July 18 and 19.

    Charles and Patty Sullivan of Upton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Maribrooke Jeananne Sullivan, to Christopher Curtis Shive, son of Winnie Shive of Hodgenville and the late Bruce “B.C.” Shive.

    The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Hart County High School and a 2009 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education and is employed as a substitute teacher for the Hart County School System.

    The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Hart County High School and is a self-employed mechanic.

    The wedding is at 6:30 p.m. EDT Aug. 22, 2009, at the home of Mark and Jackie Williams, 5549 Millerstown Road, Upton.

    ELIZABETHTOWN – Prosecutors’ sharing evidence just hours before, or even after, trials begin — the chief complaint attorneys for double-murder defendant Brent Burke used in support of Wednesday’s motion for mistrial — is nothing new, according to central Kentucky public defenders.

    “I’ll just say it’s been an issue,” Elizabethtown Public Advocate Shelia Kyle-Reno said Friday.

    Paula Butler of Elizabethtown announces the birth of her granddaughter, Bailee Nicole Sidebottom, on June 16, 2009, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20 inches long.

    Parents are Abby Butler and Josh Sidebottom of Elizabethtown.

    Lionel Cooper Hatfield loved and lived for his family. He died at his home in Grayson County on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at the age of 83.
