The University of Kentucky Beef Integrated Resource Management Team again will conduct Cow College for the summer and fall of 2008. Cow College is more in-depth, intense and more “hands-on” than the popular Kentucky Master Cattlemen Program. Cow College is the “next step” for those producers who have graduated from the Master Cattlemen Program and wish to continue to develop their beef production knowledge base.

ELIZABETHTOWN — For the family of Lucian and Phyllis Moreman, the healing arts is a relative term. All three of their children — and two of their children’s spouses — are in the medical field.

In addition to Lucian, who is a practicing obstetrician/gynecologist, the family includes another OB/ GYN, a dentist, a gastroenterologist, an ophthalmologist and a cardiologist.

In the Cal Ripken 9-year-old tournament in Brownsville, the Elizabethtown Area Baseball Commission All-Stars, the District 10 runner-up, faces Barren County at 7 p.m. Thursday.
